The British soulman Sam Smith is back his new music – "Too Good At Goodbyes" which is his first release since 2015's "Writing's On The Wall" from Spectre.

The song is also the lead single from his second studio album, The Thrill of It All (2017). "Too Good At Goodbyes" was conceived right in the middle of writing The Thrill of it All, which Smith says was "influenced by throwback R&B" throughout the creative process.
This track is "about a relationship I was in and it's basically about getting good at getting dumped," says Smith.
Originally, the gospel choir featured on the track was going to be only his vocals:
"Every time you hurt me, the less that I cry"
"And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry"
"And every time you walk out, the less I love you"
"Baby, we don't stand a chance, it's sad but it's true"
Then, the lilting chorus is buoyed by the choir, as they harmonize, "I'm way too good at goodby
