Biography of Manuel Fraga Iribarne
Manuel Fraga Iribarne was a Spanish politician and legal scholar.
He served as the Chairman of the Autonomous Government of Galicia from 1990 to 2005.
Fraga started in the Franco cabinet in as Minister of Information and tourism.
Fraga Iribarne graduated from the University of Santiago, where he studied law, and the Complutense University of Madrid, where he studied political and economic sciences. He also attended the diplomatic school. Fraga Iribarne began his career as a legal consultant for the parliament in 1945 and later worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs starting in 1947.
In 1951, he became the Secretary General of the Institute of Spanish Culture and in 1953, he became a professor at the Complutense University of Madrid. He held various positions in government and politics, including serving
